Sandra L. (Meister) Schrader-Gould

November 4, 1950 ~ March 1, 2024

South Bend- Sandra L. Schrader-Gould, 73, a lifelong resident of South Bend passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday March 1, 2024 at her home.

Sandra was born on November 4, 1950, in South Bend to the late George B. Meister and Marna J. (Johnson) Chadwell.  Sandra graduated from Riley High School with the class of 1969.

Sandra worked for the Bendix Corporation for 24 years, retiring in 1999.  She spent 26 years as a single mother and raised 2 amazing sons, a feat she was very proud of.  She met and married Jerry Gould on August 16, 1998, adding two step-sons, and sharing 21 years of marriage before his passing in 2020.

Sandra loved going to the casino.  She loved to sew, to garden and weed, to watch the cooking channel, and was a huge fan of peanut butter M&M’s.  She had a strong sense of accomplishment about her and lived her life proud of all she had accomplished.

Left to cherish her memory include her sons; Nick Schrader, Brian (Nicole) Schrader, Kevin (Sarah) Gould, and Sean (Jo) Gould, her grandchildren; Hannah, Anna, Abby, Samantha, Jaedyn, Kyle (Shelby), Jeremy, Jenna, Brenden, Paisley, Amelia, Clark, and Lillian.  Great grandchildren; Dawson, Killian, and one on the way. Sisters: Linda (Charlie) Randall and Marlene (Jim) Isza also survive.  Sandra was also blessed with a best friend and caregiver, Lisa Sisk.  Sandra also leaves behind her beloved lab, Daisy.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerry Gould.

Visitation for Sandra will be held from 4pm-6pm on Friday March 8, 2024 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend.  Visitation will also be held from 10am-11 am and a funeral service will begin at 11am on Saturday March 9, 2024 at the funeral home.  Sandra and Jerry will be inurned together at a later date at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sandra’s name to Coalbush United Methodist Church, 15977 Jackson Rd. Mishawaka, IN 46544.
