I remember Bill as such a smooth and coordinated fellow, good football player, and wasn't Bill in the terrible automobile accident on their way to Ann Arbor when the left rear tire blew out and swevered the car into an oncoming car, killing one or two. I didn't know or remember that Bill & Wayne attended WMU as did I.
My old roommate freshman year at WMU was Glen "Digger" Peoples, now deceased many years. I still have occasional contact with Jerry Grabill, who lives on the east side of Michigan, a good "Quarter-miler!. Whenever I do my little exercise program of leg lifts and sit ups, I think of Mo Morrison, Spike Kelly, Red Faught and Greg ???? , our trainer (I'll think of it at 0400, Parker—didn't take that long after all)—all good, character building people! jlw
That's right. Bill's girlfriend Rosemary Musselman was killed. Bill got a disablility scholarship butdropped out the second year. He was all around great athelte. Had scholarship at Cinncinat before accident Sad story. He had trouble with the academics.Never heard from him again. Don't know what happened to him. I have very close contact with Bill Cole and family. Bill Cole wasn't able to keep in touch will Bill Denny or anyone that I know of. Did we ever hangout when we were at JWR? I ran into some guy at my place at Sun City Shawdow Hills in Indio, CA, .who went to our school but didn't know him. Ran into Jerry Swertley (decd} at LA Courthouse few years back. Good hearing from you
Dennis, thanks for filling in some of the blanks. It brings tears to my eyes to learn of some of life's tragic events and the twists and turns along the road! It would be nice to catch up with you at the Riley all-school reunion, I haven't been there in a couple years, but again this year I have a conflict, the Hessel boat show in Hessel, MI.
