Mary passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018.

Mary was a resident of South Bend, Indiana at the time of passing.

Mary Jane Firestone graduated from Riley High School in 1936.

She married Charles Teske, who was in the US Army Air Corps and they lived in Texas while he was stationed in San Angelo.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with visitation one hour before funeral services. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Mary Jane Teske

June 22, 1918 - Dec. 2, 2018

SOUTH BEND, IN - Mary Jane Teske, 100, of South Bend, IN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living in South Bend.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Teske; her mother and father, Martha and Harley Firestone; her brother, Weldon Firestone; and her daughter, Sue (Jerry) Pastryk.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha (Gary) Winenger; her son, Jim (Chris) Teske; and her son-in-law, Jerry (Glenda) Pastryk. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Rick (Lisa) Winenger, Lori (Andre) Yoder, Stacy (Neil) Arnold, and Scott (Sara) Pastryk; and 14 great-grandchildren, Nathan, Ben, Emma, Caleb, Grant, Brooke, Chad, Tate, Ryan, Kylie, Nolan, Spencer, Levi, and Harvey.

Mary Jane graduated from Riley High School in 1936. She married Charles Teske, who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, and they lived in Texas while he was stationed in San Angelo. Afterwards, they moved to South Bend, IN, to make their home.

Mary Jane was a wonderful devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a devout Christian who loved to serve the Lord in her church. She was a lifelong member of First Brethren Church of South Bend.

She was an excellent seamstress and a wonderful baker who baked delicious goodies for family events and church functions, and she was a chocolate lover. Mary Jane was a faithful blood donor and also served for many years as a volunteer at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

The Lord will have a special place for her in heaven.

Friends may visit with family on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 4:00-7:00pm at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 7 at 11:00am at the funeral home with additional visitation from 10:00-11:00am prior to the service. Reverend Larry Baker will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
