SOUTH BEND, IN - Louise M. Papp, 99, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in Lawrenceville, GA. Louise was born on January 6, 1919 in Byesville, Ohio to the late Alex Nagy and Julia (Nemeth) Nagy. On August 31, 1940, in South Bend, she was united in marriage to John Carl Papp, who preceded her in death on February 13, 1992. They were married for 51 years.
Louise is survived by her sons, John Papp and wife Keith of Nokesville, VA and Albert Papp and wife Sandra of Dacula, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael (Ramsey) Papp, James (Anni) Papp, Kelemen (Bree) Papp, Andrew (Jennifer) Papp, Leanna (Andrew) Papp, David (Lizabelle) Papp, Christine (Brian) Macrenaris and Lisa (Daniel) Hollingsworth; and great-grandchildren, Michael Papp, Elliot Papp, Philip Papp, Reagan Papp, Kaiden Papp, Malin Papp, Lucas Papp, Olivia Papp, Camila Papp, Andrew Johnston, Adrianna Johnston, Evan Macrenaris, Carter Macrenaris, Gina (Jacob) Barber, Christine Hollingsworth, and Ryan Hollingsworth.
Louise worked for 20 years at Sears Roebuck in the credit office and also worked at St. Joseph Medical Center where she retired after 13 years in 1983. She loved crocheting, knitting, reading, and spoiling her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Louise will be at 10:00 Monday, October 29 at St. Matthew Cathedral, 1701 Miami St., South Bend, IN 46613 with Rev. Terry Fisher officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, Indiana. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday October 28 from 5:00-7:00 at Palmer Funeral Home Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614.
