Rita A. (Willits) Grabowski

MISHAWAKA, IN - Rita Ann Grabowski, 52, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

Rita was born on August 18, 1966 in South Bend to Harry and Linda (Milum-Davis) Willits. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Grabowski in 2014; father, Harry Willits in 1976; and stepfather, Frank Milum in 2010.

Surviving are her mother, Linda (Mike) Milum-Davis; mother-in-law, Judy (Al) Ballinger; children, Amber Willits, Dylan Willits, and Jacob Grabowski; siblings, Wanda (Ben) Kanoff, Curtis Willits, Susan (Randy) Custard, Bill (Dee) Milum, and Dawn (Rodney) Young; and two grandchildren, Rilynn and Kayden.

Rita still remained close with many of her friends from Riley High School where she graduated in 1985. Rita made numerous friends after high school as well.

She was full of personality and was the life of every party. Everyone loved to be around her because of her charm and sense of humor. Her courage and strength through difficult times was an inspiration.

Most of all Rita loved spending time with her two beautiful grandchildren, her family, and friends. She loved being outdoors. Camping and going to the beach were her favorite summer activities. She enjoyed singing karaoke, especially singing Elvis.

There will be a Memorial Service held for Rita on Sunday, December 23 at 2 p.m., with visitation two hours prior, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.
