Geraldine E. (Couchman) Palmer Owens

ELKHART - Geraldine E. Owens, 79, of 3622 E. Jackson Blvd., died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday in her home after an illness. Mrs. Owens was a former photographer at Robertson's Department Store, South Bend, and a bookkeeper at Charles and Beryl in Elkhart.

She was born May 4, 1916, in South Bend. On Nov. 19, 1949, in Elkhart, she married Charles R. Owens. He survives with two sons, Michael J. Palmer and Duane L. Palmer, both of Elkhart; five grand-children; and a great-grandson.

She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Elkhart Art League.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the church. Entombment will be in Faith Mausoleum at Rice Cem-etery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Saturday jn the church Common Room. Walley-Mills-Zim-merman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
