Suzanne Kathryn Summers

1937 - 2021

YOUNGSTOWN - Suzanne Kathryn "Suzie" Summers died Wednesday morning June 22, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman. Suzie was born December 9, 1937 in South Bend , Indiana, the daughter of George and Dorthea (Frame) Summers. Due to an unfortunate automobile accident in 1940, both of her parents were killed and the three siblings were raised by their mother’s sister, Frances Frame Chandlee.

Suzanne graduated from James Whitcoms Riley High School. She earned her BS in Education from Ball State University in 1960, and later earned her Masters in Education from in 1970 from Kent State University.

Suzie leaves behind her longtime friend and caregiver Donna E. Kaufman and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind three special Godchildren: Tyler, Mack and Alexis Mettille.

Suzie was preceded in death by her parents, and aunt Frances who raised her, a brother George Robert Summers and sister Linda Mae (Summers) Lamirand.

Suzie's cremated remains will be laid to rest privately at Mansfield Memorial Cemetery.
