Terese M. (Schultheis) Laughery

LAUGHREY (nee Schultheis; Suttman), Terese M. Died peacefully in her sleep on February 3, 2016 at home in Key West, Florida. She was born on Sept. 21, 1934, and lived from 1957 until 2015 in the Dayton area. Preceded in death by her parents C.M. & Helen Schultheis; sister JoRita Elliott; brothers Don (Skip), Bob, Tom, Jim, and Ley Schultheis; also by her two husbands Louis (Frosty) Suttman, and J. Al Laughrey; as well as her two sons Martin and Eric Suttman.

She is survived by her daughter Maureen; sons Joe and Tom Suttman; grandchildren Erika (Steven) Crossley, Louis Suttmann, Ben, Dakota, Ellie & Declan Suttman; great-grandchildren Alena and Lucy; sister Catherine Taylor of Michigan; as well as a slew of nieces and nephews. Terese has been a volunteer most of her life, loved to travel, and was an avid reader. She owned and directed the Suttman Care & Learn Center in the 1970's.

Terese requested that her remains be cremated and buried at the Memorial Garden at Wright State University. A Mass in her memory will be held at St Leonard Senior Retirement Chapel in early April (details to be announced).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Albert the Great School Tuition Program (Kettering, OH), or to the Learning Tree Farm for Children (S. Union Rd. in Dayton). Terese always knew she was loved by her family and friends, and lived a full and eventful life!
