Survivors left to cherish her memory include her sister, Esther Forycki of South Bend; special niece, Linda (Mark) Ruckert of Mishawaka, who was like a daughter to her, and nieces, Shari Maure of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lori Moore of Elkhart and Debbie (Taghon) of South Bend; nephew Jeff Taghon of South Bend, along with several great-nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Gwen Kruszewski of South Bend; brothers-in-law, John T. Do-De was a great cook and was considered our "cool" aunt with a great sense of humor, who thoroughly enjoyed her first motorcycle ride with her great-nephew, Brian Ruckert on his Harley Davidson at the age of 75.

Do-De graduated from Riley High School class of 1950, where she participated in the band and then became a Drum Majorette and baton twirler.

She enjoyed knitting, reading and visiting with her neighbors. Do-De was an avid Notre Dame football fan, watching all of the games throughout each season. Do-De was especially fond of Connie Richmond and Myron and Dinah Stutsman and their two children, Mazie and Mozes. A special thank you to you both for all of the help and visits, also for the meals and goodies that you took Aunt Do-De while she was still in her home, she enjoyed them so much. Your visits at the nursing home made her day too. Do-De was employed as an Accounts Receivable and Payable Clerk at MB Skinners, Dynec and Cutting Tools. She retired in 1997. Do-De was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus B.M. Catholic Church in South Bend, where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge in South Bend and Riley Lunch Brunch.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday May 12, 2015, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.
