Juanita N. (Wuthrich) Willliams

July 8, 1932     ~     January 31, 2021.

Juanita N. “Netse” Williams (nee Wuthrich), born July 8, 1932, passed peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Mequon, Wisconsin.  

She and her husband, John C. Williams, were both born in South Bend, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on January 2, 2010.  Together they attended James Monroe Grade School and Riley High School in South Bend, Indiana, as well as Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana.  Mrs. Williams was also predeceased by her husband Colonel Alastair Milne of Dunbarton, Scotland and Tequesta, Florida.

Mrs. Williams enjoyed membership and participation in the Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Cub Scout Den Mother for her sons, the Junior League of South Bend (Indiana), the Belleair (Florida) Republican Women’s Club, and the Women’s Art League of South Bend (Indiana).  She was a former member of the Grace United Methodist Church in South Bend, Indiana and the First United Methodist Church of Clearwater, Florida.

Mrs. Williams’ career included positions as Secretary to the Director of the South Bend Art Center, Assistant to the Development Counsel and Public Relations at the University of Notre Dame, and Office Manager for the Burt Reynolds Institute of Film and Theatre in Florida. 

A lifetime student of art, she studied art at Franklin College, the South Bend (Indiana) Art Center, the Belleair (Florida) Art Center, and the Connestee Falls (North Carolina) Art Center.  An accomplished artist herself, her paintings are enjoyed in the homes of her family.

Mrs. Williams was the child of the late J. Paul and Joan (nee Nixon) Wuthrich of South Bend, Indiana and Newport, Indiana. 

She is survived by two sons and three grandchildren, Mark C. (Michelle) Williams of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina and their daughter Corinne W. Williams and son Kyle C. Williams, and Bryan P. Williams of South Bend, Indiana and his daughter Allison Williams.  Mrs. Williams is also survived by her sister, Barbara Doetsch of South Bend, Indiana and her brother, John Wuthrich (Suzette) of Bull Shoals, Arkansas and numerous loved nieces and nephews.

 At her request, no memorial services will be held for Mrs. Williams.  If desired, memorial donations may be directed to Grace United Methodist Church, 3012 S Twyckenham Drive, South Bend, IN 46614 (www.gracemethodist.org).
