Genevieve T. (Korlowicz) Glunt
November 25, 1926 ~ December 23, 2021 (age 95)
Genevieve T. Glunt, 95, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 8:05 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021, in Memorial Hospital.
Genevieve was born on November 25, 1926 in South Bend to Dominic and Amelia (Sinkeiwicz) Korlowicz. She had formerly been employed with Whitcomb and Keller, Tower, and Waterfield Mortgage. On August 2, 1947, in South Bend, she married Robert E. Glunt, who preceded her in death on October 25, 1988.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Ann Hornyak, Bernice Cygirt, Estelle Voynovich, Phyllis Reback and Lottie Kippes; and two brothers, Ronald and Frank Kurlowicz. Genevieve is survived by her daughter, Vickie (Ronald) Gerkey of South Bend, Indiana; her son, Donald (Nora) Glunt of South Bend, Indiana; three grandchildren, Rachel Murphy, Ryan Gerkey, and Tim McCoy; five great-grandchildren, Anna and Andrew Murphy and Noah, Lucas, and Jonah Gerkey; her sister, Evelyn Sutton of Fishers, Indiana; and her brother, Edward (Faye) Korlowicz of South Bend, Indiana.
There will be a private family Funeral Service. Genevieve will be buried next to her husband in Fairview Cemetery.
Genevieve was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and bingo.
