MISHAWAKA - Edwin V. Bottorff, 86, of Mishawaka, IN passed away at 8:07 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 in his home. He was born on March 24, 1927 in South Bend, IN to the late James F. and Ruth (Moore) Bottorff and remained a lifelong resident.
On September 27, 1947 in South Bend, IN he was united in marriage to the former Pearl Mary (Lower) Bottorff. Mr. Bottorff is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Pearl Bottorff; three daughters, Sharon A. Brock of Mishawaka, IN, Susan E. (Albert) Cunningham of Bremen, IN and Mary J. (Tim) Wisniewski of South Bend, IN, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and sister, Shirley Ritter of LaPorte, IN. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Lyle Ritter.
Mr. Bottorff was a graduate of Riley High School. He retired in 1990 after thirty-five years with the South Bend Fire Department. Mr. Bottorff was very active at the Ireland Road Church of God. Mr. Bottorff and his wife wintered in Hudson, FL for over twenty years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2013 at the Ireland Road Church of God, 16555 Ireland Road, Mishawaka, IN. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend and one half hour prior to the services at church.
