Agnes M. Ribarich Jan. 10, 1927 - Oct. 12, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Agnes M. Ribarich, 88, passed away at 4:45 am, Monday, October 12, 2015 in Elkhart Hospice House. Agnes was born on January 10, 1927 in South Bend to Matthew and Lidvina (Kuzmich) Ribarich. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Anne Kopsea and brother-in-law, Charles "Chil" Kopsea (Mishawaka). Surviving are two nephews, Michael (Jeanette) Kopsea of Osceola and Matthew Kopsea of Mishawaka, a great-niece, Amy Kopsea (Texas), three great-nephews, Charles (Julia) Kopsea (Wisconsin) and Richard and Anthony Kopsea (Osceola); and two great-great-nephews, Zachary and Nathan Kopsea (Wisconsin).

Miss Ribarich was a Riley High School graduate and attended the South Bend College of Commerce.

She worked for many years with U.S. Government agencies in South Bend, Chicago and Washington, DC. She attained Civil Service appointments for U.S. Air Force activities and the Office of Naval Research. Agnes served as secretary to the former Dean of the University of Notre Dame Law School (Clarence Manion). Miss Ribarich proudly served her country working for Congressman John Brademas at the U.S. House of Representatives for 20 years. Agnes Ribarich was a life long member of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church and participated in various church activities. She was a member of the Catholic Young Adults, Young Democrats, AARP, and the Croatian Ladies Club. She was a volunteer at SJRMC for several years. Agnes loved to travel and she enjoyed classical and patriotic symphonic music. Her accomplishments were many, yet she remained humble, gracious and appreciative to all those with whom she shared her life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday, October 16, 2015 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 Thursday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue where a Rosary will be recited at 4:30. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hungary Parish.
