Donald Keith Miller
June 20, 1924 – January 6, 2021
MAJOR DONALD K. MILLER, RET., 96, went to be with his heavenly family Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021. He was born and raised in South Bend, Ind.
At 17, he became a pilot in World War II, and was attached to the "75th Fighter Squadron" in China-Burma-India Theater. It was one of the squadrons that became known as the "Flying Tigers." He retired from two careers. After 22 years in the U.S. Air Force, he moved to Fort Wayne and retired from Joselyn Stainless Steel.
Surviving are his daughter, Mary (Carl) Straley; son, Ron (Caroline) Miller; daughter-in-law, Nan (Randy) Miller; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; daughter, Dona (Jerry) Kelker; and son, Randy A. Miller.
