Irene M. (Tomsits) Cunningham

SOUTH BEND - Irene Martha Cunningham (Tomsits), 82, loving wife of Ret. Col. John Cunningham and mother of three, formerly of South Bend, had been a student at Riley High School.

She is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Kathleen and Joanne; son, John; along with eight grandchildren.

She spent her life as a military wife and loving mother, and passed away Dec. 22, 2007, after a lengthy battle with cancer. A resident of Novato, California, for the past 33 years, Irene loved the San Francisco Bay area. She is truly loved and will be sorely missed.
