Arlene A. Powell, 72 years old, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at her residence in Granger. She was born July 1, 1948 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Paul and Helen (Retek) Lehman. On May 24, 1997 in South Bend, Arlene was united in marriage to Tom Powell, who survives.

Arlene lived most of her life in Michiana. She worked at Curtis Products inputting data before retiring. Arlene loves spending time at the lake cottage at Long Lake in Michigan. She also loved Bassett Hounds, fishing and spending time on the water.

Along with her husband, Tom, Arlene is survived by her sons, Tim (Patty) Walker of Granger, Tony (Cathy) Walker of La Porte, Chris (Alicia) Walker of Granger and Charles (Kelly) Powell of Osceola; daughters, Shelly (Jim) Tomlinson of Holly Springs, NC, Kris Powers of Plymouth and April Powell of South Bend. Arlene is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Paul and Helen, Arlene is preceded in death by her son, Paul John Walker; and her brother, Arthur Lehman.

Per the family, there will not be any services held at this point. Palmer Funeral Homes-Bubb Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting family with arrangements.
