Cheryl Lynn Carlo Stanfield Dec. 5, 1952 - Feb. 26, 2015 MISHAWAKA - Cheryl Lynn Carlo Stanfield, 62, passed away at home on Thursday, February 26, 2015. Cheryl was born on December 5, 1952 in South Bend to the late Nicholas and Dorothy (Maes) Carlo. On October 25, 2002 in Mishawaka she married Terry Stanfield.
Surviving are her loving husband, Terry; daughter, Kathleen (Karla) Carlo of South Bend; three grandchildren, Brandon (Codie) Gluchowski, Ryan Gluchowski and Morgann Carlo; two great-grandchildren, Henlee and Colson; her siblings, Debra (Rick) Dehne of Granger, Nicholas (Ruby) Carlo of South Bend, Dawn (John) Keefer of Osceola and Michael (Julie) Carlo of South Bend, and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Cheryl graduated from Riley High School and then went on to get her Nursing degree from Ivy Tech.
She worked for the Post Office, the Royal Caf‚, Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center and was currently working for Southfield Village. Cheryl was a loving caring person who was always helping others, whether it be family, friends or her patients. She enjoyed playing games, BINGO, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Cheryl also enjoyed golf and was an avid Notre Dame fan. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, March 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka where a Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
