SOUTH BEND - Kenneth Louis Reynolds, 59, of South Bend, passed away on January 16, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. at Memorial Hospital. He was born to Rose Anna Reynolds & Lewis Dorsey on March 17, 1953, in South Bend, IN. He was once employed with Allied Corp. & Jamestown Townhomes in maintenance. Kenny was talented with repairing things without needing to follow a manual. Kenny enjoyed attending service at Southgate Church where his nephew, Steven Reynolds Jr., ministered. Kenny, a.k.a. "Ken Reyn" back in his day, was a phenomenal basketball player & had a love affair with the sport of basketball.

His beginning was at Riley High School where he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame for his record setting accomplishments. He also went on to play at Chipola College & East Tennessee State University. Our family credits Kenny for the beginning of our family's basketball legacy left to Riley High School, which include Kenny Reynolds, his nephew, Steven Reynolds Jr., & daughter, Kendra Reynolds.

Kenny will be truly missed by family and friends for so many reasons. To name a few: his sense of humor, his QUICK wit, & him being the life of the party.

Kenny is survived by his three children, Brent Williams, Kelli Reynolds & Kendra Reynolds, all of South Bend; nine grandchildren; six siblings, Steven Reynolds Sr. (Aunt Pat), Gail Humble, Byron Murray, Stacy Anderson (Uncle Dwight), Anthony Murray & Eric Gilliam; with a special niece, Dakendra "Nook" Anderson; one great-aunt, Mo. Lilly Johnson; a special friend, Warren "Wozzie" Williams; & a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Anna Reynolds; grandmother, Annie Harris; aunt, Shirley Sanders; uncle, Robert Reynolds; daughter, Erica Hardy; & brother, Derek Reynolds.

Funeral services for Kenneth L. Reynolds will be held Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, in Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home Inc., 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend.
