Janet L. Young, 70, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Indiana.  She was born on February 5, 1953, in South Bend, Indiana to the late LaRoe A. and Dorothy B. (Hartman) Young.

She was united in marriage to Mark Byerly on September 17, 2016, at Unity Church in South Bend.

Along with her loving husband, Mark, she is survived by her niece, Julie Downey; nephews, Gary Fickes and Larry Fickes; and her cousin, Connie Riddle.

Janet worked as a vehicle transporter for various dealerships.

Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with services.
