Wesley William Jr Taylor

Wesley William Taylor, Jr.

March 15, 1948 ~ February 8, 2021 (age 72)

Mr. Wesley William Taylor Jr.  was the first born of Wesley and Willie Mae Taylor on March 15, 1948 in Union City, Tennessee. The Taylor family relocated to South Bend, Indiana in 1950.  Wesley accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. Wesley attended Riley High School in South Bend, IN and was involved in many activities.  During his high school years, he developed a love for photography.  He loved taking pictures. This turned out to be his niche.    Wesley started his own business, famously known as “Wes Photography”.

Wesley also loved landscaping and cooking.  Wesley relocated to Toledo, Ohio in 1966.  One his earliest jobs was a cook.  Wesley had a love for people and worked with a family at the Peacock Café for over 30 years, where he served many with his wonderful smile.  Wesley fellowshipped with several churches in the Toledo area.  He held numerous events in the area and Jerusalem Baptist was one of his favorite places. Wesley was loving and cared for everyone he met, he was affectionally  known as “the picture man”.

Wesley was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and step-dad. He was dependable and bonded with many people during his lifetime.  Wesley loved his family and often he and his siblings would jest as to who was the favorite of them all.  We decided it was Mickey… because he always called her first.

Wesley was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Taylor; his father, Wesley Taylor; sister Christine Boykins and a brother, Jonathan Taylor.

Wesley was called home on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 12:52 PM, where he is now in the presence of The Lord.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Jeffery David (Cora) Taylor of South Bend, Indiana; four sisters: Francine Epperson of Indianapolis Indiana, Susie Taylor, Michelle Thomas and Maxine (Carlos) Pruitt of South Bend, Indiana; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
