Juanita Mae (Lentz) Burke
June 30, 1944 ~ April 27, 2022 (age 77)
Juanita Mae Burke, of South Bend, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 6:16 p.m. at Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 30, 1944, in Warsaw, IN to Ronald H. and Roberta M. (Long) Lentz.
On March 8, 1969 in South Bend she was united in marriage to Cecil O. Burke who preceded her in death on January 10, 2003. Juanita worked for CJ Fredlick, Inc., retiring in 1991. She was a giving person, helping others when she could. Over the years her and Cecil welcomed 9 foster children into their home. She was a huge collector of anything to do with frogs, she collected items from across the world.
Juanita is survived by her sister Vicki L. Wilson of Milford, IN, nephews, Todd Wilson of South Bend, Adam (Angela) Wilson of Milford, her great niece, Madison, and great nephew Gavin. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside services for Juanita will be held at Southlawn Cemetery at a later date. Please check the Palmer Funeral Home website for updates. Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
