Dixie L. (Bourdon) Wasoski, 85, passed away at 5:50pm on Monday, August 16, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loving husband and family.
Dixie was born on June 19, 1936, in South Bend to the late Barney Bourdon and Evelyn (Schrader) Gross. Dixie was also preceded in death by sister, Shirley Ruggles; and brothers, Bruce and Craig Bourdon.
On July 24, 1954, Dixie married Kenneth Wasoski. He survives along daughter, Kim Wasoski of Mishawaka, and Tracey (Brian) Heald of Pendelton, IN; son, Gary (Robert) Wasoski-Granado of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Evan, Lexie, Macy, Cole, Reid; great-grandchildren, Emmett and Lyla.
Dixie was a parishioner at St. Matthew Cathedral. She was active with the Christ Child Society and the Knights of Columbus with her husband. She was a member of the Bowlers Country Club. Dixie enjoyed getting together with her friends at Bridge Club.
Visitation will be from 10-11am on Friday, August 20, 2021, in the Cathedral of St. Matthew. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am on Friday, August 20, 2021, in the Cathedral. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel is handling the arrangements.
