Dorothy M. (Brothers) Yoder

SOUTH BEND - Dorothy M. Yoder, 76, of South Bend, died Monday July 25th, at The Center for Hospice. She was born March 18, 1935, in South Bend, to the late Owen and Esther (Hullinger) Brothers. Also preceding her was a sister, Sue Smith. On March 17, 1956, she married Eugene F. Yoder and was married for 55 years.

She is survived by sons, David Scott Yoder of South Bend, Steve Yoder (Vicki) of Granger and Eugene Francis Yoder (Sue) of Mishawaka; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Sisters, Karen DeBoever of South Bend, Ruth Brothers of Coello, IL, brothers, Robert Brothers (Jean) of Fayetteville, Georgia, James W. Brothers of Mishawaka and Ernest Richard Brothers (Janet) of Mishawaka. Also several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a graduate of Riley High School, and worked many years for The Fabric Warehouse at Town and Country.

Dorothy enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and bingo, along with the Blue Chip Casino. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed taking care of children.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 2nd, at the Willow Creek United Methodist Church, 14010 E. Jefferson Hwy. Memorial contributions may be sent to The Center for Hospice, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637. The Welsheimer Family Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family with final arrangements.
