SOUTH BEND -Nicholas Stanley Dembinski, 74, of South Bend, IN, passed away Friday evening in his home. He was born on September 10, 1935, in South Bend, IN, to Frank and Hattie (Badowski) Dembinski. On July 23rd 1955, in South Bend, IN, he married Nancy Lee (Kelley) Dembinski, who survives. Mr. Dembinski is also survived by two daughters, Vickie Dembinski of North Liberty, IN, and Tracy (Brad) Moore of Osceola, IN; two sons, Kelly (Karen) Dembinski of Niles, MI, and Nicholas A. (Susan) Dembinski of Elkhart, IN; 10 grandchildren, Jan Michael Bennett, Renee Dembinski, Nicole Dembinski, Michael Dembinski, Christopher Petzke, Matthew Dembinski, Zachary Dembinski, Dustin Dembinski, Brooke Callanan and Brandi Moore.

Mr. Dembinski attended St. Matthew School and graduated from Riley High School in 1954 where he excelled in football and was recruited as a kicker, and was also a summer cadet at Culver Military School.

He was the owner/operator of Miami Bakery 1956 to 1966 and Miami Liquor Store 1965 to 1976 in South Bend. He enjoyed boating and restoration of antique cars.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. The family will receive friends from noon-4:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
