Dennis A. Wiegand, formally of South Bend, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the age of 85.  He was born on August 2, 1936 in South Bend to the late William and Mildred (Grise) Wiegand.  Dennis was a lifelong resident of the South Bend area until he relocated to Winamac earlier this year.  He was a graduate of Riley High School and worked for Christman Construction for 25 years. 

On February 15, 1957 he was united in marriage to Carol Tribbett, who preceded him in death on November 10, 1998.

He is survived by his two sons, Timothy (Lisa) Wiegand of Star City, IN and Rodney Wiegand of Elkhart, along with 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Kayla, Troy.  Also surviving is his brother, Myron (Becky) Wiegand of South Bend.  Along with his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by his granddaughters, Anna and Abby.

No services will be held at this time, Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer North Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Private burial will be held at Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN.
