Larry A. Weesner, Sr., 91, passed away in his home at 11:45pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

Larry was born on June 6, 1930, in South Bend, IN, to the late Russell and Bernice Weesner. Larry was also preceded in death by his first wife, Pattie; second wife, Ruth; daughter, Diane; son, Jim; and thirteen of his brothers and sisters.

Larry is survived by his son, Larry (Laura) Weesner, Jr. of South Bend; daughter, Linda Merritt, sisters, Shirley Lannoo of Osceola, and Alma Turner of Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Larry honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He made many friends on his job as a toll booth attendant before he retired. Larry loved gardening and going to yard sales – basically buying things cheap. He was also known for ordering lots of magazines.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Anchor Conservation Club, 55300 Fresno Street, South Bend, IN. Interment of Larry’s ashes will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN. Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
