Robert Alan Simmons

Robert “Bob” Alan Simmons, age 82, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away at IU Health Bloomington Hospital on Sunday, December 24, 2023. He was born on June 24, 1941 to Pat and Ella (Bowers) Simmons.

 Bob served in the United States Air Force as an Administrative Specialist, before working at Smurfit Stone Container until his retirement. He was a very social person, and loved the company of his friends and neighbors. Bob loved Notre Dame Football, the Chicago White Sox, auto racing, and all other sports.

Bob is survived by his sister, Sally Casey (Joe), daughter-in-law, Susan Simmons, grandchildren, McKenna, Megan, Mia, Matthew, and Mitchell Simmons, and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his sons, Greg and Ronald Simmons, wife, Geraldine Simmons, and his parents.

There will be no services at this time.
