Gregory L. Stockdale, Sr. of Granger, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022. He was born on July 23, 1943 in Logansport, IN to the late Elza and Hilda (Landgrave) Stockdale. Gregory worked in the vending machine industry with 45 years of service.
He was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved his family very much. He donated to several different organizations, like the Arbor Day foundation and St. Jude Children’s Research. He loved building model trains and had an extensive collection. He was known for being a Jack of all trades and could work on just about anything.
Gregory is survived by his daughters, Leslie Voorheis of Nashville, TN., Jennifer (Isaac) Holmes of South Bend and son, Gregory L. (Stephanie) Stockdale, Jr. of Granger, along with 5 grandchildren, Jamie, Benjamin, Logan, Hunter and Cooper.
Funeral services for Mr. Stockdale will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer North Chapel, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mexico, IN.
