Janet Sue Scott Mar. 25, 1941 - Jan. 14, 2015 GRANGER - Janet Sue (Reader) Scott, 73, of Granger, Indiana, entered into eternal life at 6:37 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at West Woods of Niles, after fighting a brave battle with cancer. She was born March 25, 1941 in South Bend, Indiana to Cecil and Ester Jean Reader.

She graduated from Riley High School in South Bend. On June 8, 1963, in Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Janet married Richard Scott. Following marriage, they lived in Buchanan, MI, and Granger, IN most of their life. Janet loved traveling with her husband, spending the last twelve winters in Arizona and Florida. She enjoyed summers visiting art fairs with friends, and some of her most precious moments were those spending countless hours spoiling all of her grandchildren! Janet will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Surviving to cherish her memories are her husband of 51 years, Richard Scott, daughter, Michele (Mark) Wilson of Niles, son, Brett Scott of Niles, and daughter, Amy (Todd) Marazita of Niles; sisters, LaRae (Phil) Gantt, Marcia (Dick-deceased) Claudon, Diane (Jim) Dorn, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2015, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Entombment will follow at Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Granger. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18th at the funeral home.
