Lee Horn, 93, of Mishawaka, IN., passed away at 12:34 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2022, at Wings Home in Allegan, MI.

Lee was born on April 26, 1928, in South Bend, IN to Joseph and Lulu (Penrose) Horn.

On December 12, 1953, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka, IN Lee married Lydia May Shaffer, and they celebrated over 62 loving years together. Lydia preceded Lee in death on September 5, 2016. Lee was also preceded in death by his parents, a stepson, Jack McCoskey, a sister, Edna Kitch, and a brother, Kenneth Horn.

Lee is survived by his sister; Nancy (Bud) McIntyre, his daughters; Cindy (Tom) Pearson of Hickory Corners, Mi, and Valerie (Stuart) O’Dell of Huntsville, AL; his son, Martin Horn of Redding, CA and one grandson, Paul VanSchoyck of Lawton, MI.

Lee graduated from Riley High School and was co-owner and co-operator of Litho Arts in Mishawaka, IN for over 50 years with his brother Kenneth. Both he and Lydia May had been members of Little Flower Church since 1955.

Lee enjoyed being in the printing business, reading history-based books, chocolate (Fannie May was his favorite) and boats. Many family summers were enjoyed on Lake Michigan in St. Joseph, MI with Captain Horn happily at the helm of his 36’ Chris Craft named “Venture 3”. His sense of humor and his quiet humble nature will be missed.

Visitation for Lee will be on Wednesday, April 20th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Graveside funeral services will be on Thursday, April 21st at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN.

Stepson:

MISHAWAKA - Jack E. McCoskey, died January 15, 2009 in St. Joseph Hospital South Bend. He was formerly employed with Ford Motor Co. Jack is survived by his mother and stepfather, Lydia May (B. Lee) Horn, two sisters, Valerie (Stuart) O'Dell, Cynthia (Chip) VanSchoyck and a brother, Martin Horn. Friends may visit with the family at Bubb Funeral Chapel on Sunday January 18, 2009 from 3 to 5 pm where a Rosary will be recited at 4:30 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 am Monday with Fr. Neil Ryan officiating. Memorials to Little Flower
