Betty J. (Katona) Turek

September 15, 1928 ~ October 5, 2022 (age 94)

Betty Turek passed peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Betty was born on September 15, 1928 to the late Erma and Joseph Katona. On August 21, 1954 she married Stanley Turek, who survives. 

Along with her husband, Stanley, Betty is survived by her daughter Sharon (Martin) VanDyke; granddaughters Lisa (Jason) Thompson and Adara (Dan) Allen; great-grandchildren, Austen and Arlie; niece, Janet (John) Stout and family; nephews, Mike (Alice) Boulanger and family, and Marty Boulanger and family; and niece, Debbie Pajak. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marge Pietrzak; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph (Lillian) Katona; sisters and brother-in-laws; Fay (Herman) Boulanger, Evelyn (Ben) Pajak, Joseph (Monica) Turek; and her nephew, Ron Boulanger. 

Betty loved to bake, crochet and have family gatherings.  

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Southern Care Hospice, whose support and comfort was so helpful. 

There will be private services held by the family. St Joseph Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
