Elmer Miholick - Class Of 1941 VIEW PROFILE

 

Elmer John Miholick

Elmer John Miholick. 407 W. Indiana Ave.. a Studebaker Corp. Employee, died at 10:30 a. in. Friday in St. Joseph Hospital. He had been ill two days. A lifetime South Bend resident, Mr Miholick was born here March 9, 1921. 

He was a Riley High School graduate.

During World W II Mr. MlihoIick served with the United States Air Force air transport commamd for three and  a half years in the China Burma-Indian Theater as a teletype operator. He was named all China middle weight boxing champion in 1945, received the Presidental citation and Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon with the Bonze Star.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Matthew A. Miholick; two brothers, Matthew Jr. and Edward, all of South Bend, and three sisters, Mrs. Robert Reiter and Miss Helen Miholick, South Bend, and Mrs. Ernie Clubine, Niles, MI.

Friends may call in the Nemeth Funeral Home after 7 p. m. Saturday. Services will be held at 9 a. m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. John J. Margraf. C.S.C., pastor, will officiate. He will recite the rosary at 8 p rn. Sunday in the Funeral Home. Burial will he in Highland Cemetery: Post 272, American Legion. of which Mr. Miholick was a member.. will conduct grave side services. He also was a member of St. Anthony's Sick Benefit Society.
