NAOMI (NORMAN) CLAUSER

NAOMI L. CLAUSER, 85, of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 7:48 p.m., in her home. Born Oct. 25, 1928, in South Bend, she was a daughter of the late Albert Max and Garnett (Wyatt) Norman. On Oct. 22, 1950, in South Bend, she married Warren E. Clauser Jr.; he preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 2010. She moved to South Bend in the early 1960's. She lived in St. Joseph, Mich. for six years.

She was a graduate of Riley High School and earned a Bachelor and Master degree from IUSB. She was a teacher at Greene School for 30 years. She also spent 15 years as a nurse.

She was a member of Gospel Center Missionary Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Joe) Hohe of Ft. Wright, Ky.; son, Ron (Janine) Clauser of Plymouth, Ind.; grandchildren, Rebecca, Meredith and Caitlin Hohe, Rachel (Jason) Jacobs and Sarah (Andy) Jenkins; four great-grandchildren, Sophie, Isaac, Paige, and Ella; and sister-in-law, Floann Norman of Sun City, Ariz.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Keith and Kenneth Norman.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Gospel Center Missionary Church, 930 S. 30th St., South Bend, with calling one hour prior. Dr. Robert Morris officiating. Friends may also visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, at Palmer Funeral Home, Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. Graveside service and burial will follow service at Southlawn Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Naomi L.
