William Michael "Mike" Bingaman
December 7, 1937 ~ March 6, 2022 (age 84)
William Michael “Mike” Bingaman, 84, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at 6:58am on Sunday, March 6, 2022, in his home.
Mike was born on December 7, 1937, in South Bend to the late Lee C. and Hortense Alice (Barcroft) Bingaman. Mike was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Miltenberger.
On September 1, 1978, in Elkhart, Mike married Linda “Lynn” (McCune) Bingaman. She survives along with children, Sherry (John) Mueller, Kim Borsodi, Greg (Annie) Bingaman, Jim (Kristina) Bingaman, and John (Patti) Borsodi; 12 grandkids; and 10 great-grandkids.
Mike graduated from South Bend Riley High School. He was a Masonry Contractor, owning his own company, Bingaman Masonry for over 30 years and was a 50-year union member. Mike owned and drove many super modified race cars in the 60’s to mid 70’s. Later in the 70’s he renewed his interest in hunting which led to raising, training and competing with his loved Labrador’s. With Lynn by his side, they traveled many miles participating in Field Trials and Hunt Tests making Wing Watcher Labrador’s know across the country. In 1992 he and Lynn opened Always Waggin’ Boarding Kennel. They sold the kennel in 2021 so Lynn could lovingly care for Mike.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6pm on Saturday, April 9, 2022, in Palmer Funeral Home – Lakeville Complex. Family and friends may gather from 2-6pm prior to the Service.
