Charles “Chuck” Kachel, age 78, passed away on October 27, 2018. He was born to Albert and Helen Kachel in South Bend, Indiana on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 1939. Chuck spent most of his life working in the healthcare field, and retired from Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher, his brother, and parents. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Susan “Susie” of 56 years, his children, Ann (Chris) Daley, Alan Kachel, Andy (Beth) Kachel; six grandchildren, Joseph and Alex Kachel, Eddie and Cameron Daley, and Allison and Abby Kachel; 2 “daughters-in-law”, Kerie (Bob) Lemorie, and Akiko Kobayashi.

Visitation will be held at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw Hwy, on Friday, November 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. with a scripture service at 6 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow Hwy, on Saturday, November 3, at 1:30 p.m., with visitation one hour prior at the church.

The family wishes to thank all of our friends who have supported us with their prayers, presence, care, kind words and thoughts; and those in the Sparrow Hospice who took such good care of Chuck.
