Robert Larracuenta March 31, 1936 - Oct. 5, 2015 HURON BEACH, MI - Robert Larracuenta Jr., age 79, of Huron Beach passed away at home on October 5, 2015. He was born March 31, 1936, in Defiance, Ohio, to Robert and Marvelle (Miller) Larracuenta Sr.

Robert graduated in 1955 from Riley High School in South Bend, Indiana, where he was All State in football. He attended Wyoming University until he joined the United States Marine Corps and served from May of 1958 until April of 1961.

On February 9, 1963, he married Marjorie Alice Murphy at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in South Bend. In 2007 he retired from farming his family farm in Bremen, Indiana, and moved to Huron Beach. Robert enjoyed playing Euchre and watching Lake Huron. Robert is survived by his wife, Marjorie; 4 children, Janet (Howard) Busfield of South Bend, Indiana, Lynne (Vince) Panfil of New Lennox, Illinois, Steve (Carolyn) Larracuenta of Indianapolis, Indiana, and James (Jeff) Larracuenta of Oahu, Hawaii; 9 grandchildren, Aaron (Tareyn) Busfield, Jillian Busfield, Tareyn Busfield, Kasey Fell, Murphy Fell, Jamie Panfil, Ryan Panfil, Sam Larracuenta and Zachary Larracuenta; 1 great- grandson, Judah Busfield; 1 brother, Jon (Sandy) Larracuenta; 1 sister, Rosemary (Abbey) Azem of California; and 1 nephew, Roy Azem.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. with military honors accorded at 7:00 p.m. by the Rogers City VFW Post 607. Visitation will resume on Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ocqueoc from 10:00 a.m. through time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Denise Scheer officiating. A memorial gathering for Robert will take place at the Palmer Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN, on Wednesday, October 14th, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church in Ocquoc.
