Byron, IL  --  Anna Marie Murray, age 67, died Sunday morning, December 26, 2004, at Alden Alma Nelson Rehabilitation Center in Rockford.

She was born January 31, 1937, in Mishawaka, IN, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Tavernier) Sailor. She was preceded in death by her first two husbands, James McCarthy, and Muhommed Toumi. She then married Charles J. Murray on November 15, 1975, in Wheeling, IL. He preceded her on May 8, 2000.

She graduated from Rilely High School, South Bend, IN, in 1955. Anna was a Byron resident for 27 years before moving to Rockford the past year. She worked as an administrator for Bendix Corp. for many years prior to becoming a mother and housewife. She professionally baked cakes for several years in the early 1990s. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Byron, where she sang in the choir and was also a member, with her husband, of the Rockford Moose Club.

Survivors include twin sons, Karim Joseph (Carol) Murray of Palos Verdes, CA and Larbi John (Florentina) Murray of Rockford; mother, Irene Parks of Belvidere; grandchildren, Cynthia Ann Murray, Geoffrey Michael Murray, Timothy Charles Murray, and Stephen Christopher Murray; sisters, Claudia Sailor of Hope Mills, NC; Dorothy Elkins of South Bend, IN; and Janet Sailor of Angel Fire, NM; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her three husbands and her father.

Christian Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2004, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Byron, with the Rev. Tim Seigel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening with an 8 p.m. Rosary at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 506 W. Mechant St., Byron.

Memorials are for the St. Mary's Catholic Church.
