Roberta J. (Smith) Kovach

Roberta J. Kovach, 65 of Gladstone Street, passed away at 1 a.m. Monday, October 28, in Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Kovach was born on January 2, 1937, in South Bend, IN, to Edward and Catherine Smith. Roberta was preceded in death by her parent, and by a brother, Robert L. Smith.

On July 17, 1956, in South Bend, as Roberta Smith, she married Richard G. Kovach, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Jennie Sue Kovach and Karla (Dan) Bella, both of South Bend; a son, John (Kaye) Kovach of Mishawaka, IN; two grandchildren, Troy Bella and Allyssa Bella; and by a brother, John Cripe of Santa Barbara, CA.

Mrs. Kovach was a homemaker who loved to gamble in Las Vegas and at the Blue Chip Casino. Her two grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 31, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions mah be made to the charity of donor's choice.
