Tonya Sumone Clark
September 20, 1966 ~ October 14, 2023
On Saturday October 14, 2023, Tonya Sumone Clark was called Home at the age of 57.
My beloved Daughter was first born on September 20, 1966, to the parentage of Willie & Birstyne Clark.
Tonya confessed in Christ her Lord and Savior at an early age. She became a member of Kingdom Christian Center Church under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Lee. She later joined her uncle, Bishop Edward McCray’s church at Mountain Top Faith Apostolic Church.
Tonya attended Studebaker Elementary and graduated from Riley High School, South Bend, Indiana. Tonya worked at Logan Industrial Special Needs for many years. She later worked for South Bend Community Schools.
Tonya was preceded in death by her father, Willie L. Clark, grandparents Robert and Frances Clark, Henry and Donna Davis.
Tonya leaves to cherish fond memories of her life, her mother Birstyne Clark of South Bend, one brother Cedrick Davis of South Bend, one sister Donna (Herman) Griffin also of South Bend along with a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services for Tonya will be held Monday, October 23, 2023, at 11:00 am at Palmer Funeral Home-West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN 46628. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, IN.
