Margaret R. (Horvath) Pierce

SOUTH BEND - Margaret R. Pierce, 81, of Altamonte Springs, FL, passed away on March 29, 2011, in her home. She was born on September 14, 1929, to Louis J. Horvath and Rose Hadarich of South Bend, IN.

She was a graduate of Riley High School in South Bend, IN, and married Edmund L. Pierce in 1956. They moved to Florida in 1959 when her husband took a job with Martin Marietta. She was very active in the Central Florida Bonsai Club for more than 40 years, where she held many officer positions including president several times. Margaret also volunteered as a Master Gardener in Orange County for some years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Pierce, who passed away in 1999; and by two brothers, Louis and William Horvath of South Bend, IN, who passed away in 1963 and 1977 respectively.

She is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Radke of Winter Park, FL, and Irene Horvath of South Bend, IN; and six nieces and nephews, William Horvath of Ocala, FL, Sarose Vinson of Dade City, FL, Patricia L'Homme of Hamilton, Canada, Timothy Horvath of Plymouth, IN, Michael L. Horvath of Argos, IN, and Kathleen Rowe of Bradenton, FL.
