Betty Jo Ann Trapp

Betty Jo Ann Trapp, 92, of South Bend, IN, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015, surrounded by all her children, at Grand Emerald Place.   Betty Jo was born on March 4, 1923 in Sullivan, IN to the late Gilbert Taylor and Eva C. (Jackson) Boone.  On April 5, 1947, Betty Jo married Harold Arthur Trapp, who preceded her in death on June 6, 2008. 

                Betty Jo is survived by her daughters, June A. Grimes of South Bend, IN; Janet K. (Dennis) Hudak of South Bend, IN; and Jacqueline R. (Garrie) Price of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; her son, Jerald A. Trapp of South Bend, IN; her son-in-law, John Gottlieb of Wimberley, TX;  and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; daughter, Joyce A. Gottlieb; son-in-law, Danny Grimes, Sr.; granddaughter, Laura Klinedinst; her parents, Gilbert and Eva; and her adoptive-father, Raymond Boone.

                Betty Jo was involved in Woodmen of the World, was a member of the Riley Lunch Bunch, having graduated from Riley with the Class of 1941.  She enjoyed quilting and was a long-time member of Faith United Methodist Church.  She was a Insurance Clerk at the South Bend Clinic, retiring in 1988 after 15 years of service.

                Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614.  Pastor Davy Troxel of Grace Brethren Church in Mishawaka will facilitate.  Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Contributions in memory of Betty  Jo may be made to Grace Hospice; 5838 W Brick Rd Ste 101, South Bend, IN 46628.
