Zelma Irene (Lee) Baetsle

GRANGER — Zelma I. Baetsle, 73, of 52518 Farmingdale Road, died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Baetsle retired from A & P Food Stores as a cashier. She was born Nov. 8, 1917, in Kentucky and lived in South Bend since 1926, coming from Evansville, Ind.

On Nov. 24, 1938, in South Bend, she married Rene E. "Nick" Baetsle. He died Sept. 5, 1990. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Bleile of Granger three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jessie Klughardt of Homewood, Ill.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
