ELKHART - Martin Earle Nash , 82, of 27679 County Road 32, died at 3 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, in his home. Mr. Nash was born on Nov. 9, 1916, in South Bend, Ind., to Paul A. Sr., and Marie E. (Jaquith) Nash . He graduated in 1936 from Riley High School, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in England, Africa and Italy.

He married Mary Anglemyer on Aug. 22, 1964, in South Bend. She survives. He is also survived by his three brothers, Paul A. Jr., and H. Thomas, both of South Bend, and Roger M. of Blacksburg, Va.; and by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John D., who died on Sept. 26, 1980.

Mr. Nash formerly worked for Borden's Dairy and then joined Associated Milk Products, Inc., where he worked for more than 30 years, retiring in 1982. He also served for 15 years as secretary and treasurer on the board of the Dairy Council of Northern Indiana.

He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and elder, the Purdue Alumni Association, the St. Joseph County Dairy Association, and was a member of the St. Joseph County 4-H Fair Board.

Mr. Nash was also a member of Portage Lodge 675 F&AM, South Bend Chapter 29 R.A.M., South Bend Council 82 R&SM, South Bend Commandery 13 RT, Orak Shrine, South Bend Shrine Club, Messiah Shrine 10-White Shrine, St. Joseph Chapter 569 OES, and Avalon Grotto.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home in Wakarusa, Ind., with a Masonic memorial service at 8 p.m. Friends will also be received one hour before the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in South Bend. Pastor Daniel Clark and Pastor Harry Collier, former pastor of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Memorials may be made to the church or to the charity of donor's choice.
