Dorothy F. Schuette, 77, two-time city golf champ Dorothy (Dote) Fothergill Schuette, 77, of 1050 Wind wood Lane, West Lafayette, died at 11:55 p.m. Sunday, April 24, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, where she had been a patient since April 13. She had been ill health the past two months. She was born Oct. 11, 1916, in Detroit, Mich. She was raised in the South Bend area and also Fort Wayne before moving to West Lafayette in 1946. She graduated from South Bend Riley High School.

Mrs. Schuette was married, on June 7, 1941, in South Bend, to Kenneth A. Schuette, and he survives. She is retired from IBM. 

She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Lafayette, Lafayette Country Club, Elks Lodge 143 Auxiliary, and Eastern Star 507. Mrs. Schuette, an avid golfer, was two-time Lafayette City Golf champion and was champ-ion several times at the Lafayette Country Club and the Elks Country Club. She was past president of the Indiana Womens Golf Association. She was past mother advisor to the West Lafayette Rainbow Girls, and was a charter member and served on the executive council of the Purdue Sportwomen society from 1975 to 1981.

Surviving with her husband are two sons, Kenneth A. Schuette Jr. of Lafayette and William A. Schuette of Atlanta, Ga.; and a sister, Marjorie E. Stoll of Scottsdale, Ariz.
