SOUTH BEND - Frederick D. Williams, 91, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away on June 21, 2007, at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice residence in Battle Creek. Fred was born on March 25, 1916, in North Liberty, IN, the son of Dauntless and Blanche (Schoenbeck) Williams and step-dad, Vernon Clark. Fred was a hard-working man who enjoyed listening to books on tape and being outside.

He graduated from Riley High School in South Bend, IN and retired from Eaton Corporation (Fuller Transmission Division) as an Engineer after many years of service.

He was married to Florence (Engdahl), his loving wife of 67 years, who preceded him in death in 2004. A brother, Warren Clark, also preceded him in death.

Fred is survived by two sons, Ralph (Cheryle) Williams of Battle Creek, and Jim (Belinda) Williams of Paragould, AK; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice. Arrangements by Redmond Funeral Home 4100 S. Westnedge Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 269-343-6156.
