Edward W. "Bill" Reed

July 23, 1930 - April 21, 2009
GRANGER - Edward W. "Bill" Reed, 78, of Granger and Naples, FL, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in his home in Granger. He was born on July 23, 1930, in Nappanee, to the late Harry J. and Ethel H. (Arch) Reed. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert J. Reed.

In 1977 he founded RAMCO Engineering and currently was CEO. He formerly owned and operated Bill Reed and Associates. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, was charter member and past president of the Concord Rotary Club, Goshen Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, a former board member of ADEC, was nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a graduate of Riley High School in South Bend and attended Purdue University.

He loved fishing and hunting, built and flew model airplanes, was also a licensed pilot, and collected and restored antique cars.

On July 9, 1963, in Wheatridge, CO, he married Deanna K. Woods, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Dee Anna Reed-Ryan of Granger; two grandchildren; and by a brother, Richard W. (Susan) Reed of Granby, CO.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday in St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Online condolences may be sent to www.hartzlergutermuthinman.com. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday in the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Vincent's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
