SOUTH BEND — Bernice Hoglund Gregory Elley, 72, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Tuesday in her home. Mrs. Elley was born March 26, 1919, in South Bend and lived in Sarasota for seven years, going there from Rochester, N.Y.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred "Fred" of Sarasota; two stepsons, Scott of Rochester and Clark of Sarasota; and three sisters, Janet S. Petrokubi of Venice, Fla., Vera D. Maurer of South Bend, and Helen L. Cook of Sarasota.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Toale Brothers Colonial Chapel, Sarasota. Cremation will take place at To-ale Brothers Crematory. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Sun-coast Chapter, 5927 Beneva Road South, Sarasota, Fla. 34233.
