Ernest J. Lindstedt Jr., 81, of Tanglewood Trace, Mishawaka. Ind., passed from this life at 10:05 a.m. Monday, June 18, at Fountainview Place of Mishawaka, following an extended illness. Ernest, the son of Ernest John and Minnie (Rotzoll) Lindstedt Sr.. was born on Jan. 11, 1920, in South Bend, Ind., and was a life-time resident of South Bend. On Feb. 13, 1949. in South Bend, he married the former Rita Louise Stebner, who preceded him in death on March 19. 1983. He is survived by a daughter. Terry (George) Donze of South Bend a son John (Tamara) Lindstedt of Niles, Mich grandchildren, Matthew (April) Donzo and Kara, Joshua, Aimee and Ryan Lindstedt, a brother, Norman Lindstedt, and a sister, Joan Glaser, both of South Bend.

In 1939 he was graduated as valedictorian of Riley High School. and was first employed at Radio Furniture Mart, servicing electronics.

He later became co-owner of the Dainty Maid Bake Shop where he remained active until 1986 when his health required retire-ment to an advisory capacity Mr Lindstedt served as a minister in the New Apostolic Church for over 45 years. Ordained into the ministry of an evangelist, he was rector of the New Apostolic Church of Niles, including responsibility for the New Apostolic Church of Buchanan, Mich

His accomplishments as choral director, musician, and organist added to his commission the assignment of master choir director in addition to serving in the capacity of district youth leader for more than 40 years He also enjoyed flying, and earning a private pilot's license with multiple aviation ratings. As a loving and devoted father. confidant and friend, Ernie has touched and positively inspired the lives of all who have been blessed to be acquainted with him. He will be remembered for his instant wit and sense of humor, always being positive and encouraging even during the most difficult situations. His enthusiasm and conviction for his life of faith elevated those who surrounded him. His presence embodied enthusiasm and joy for life and its wonderful blessings.

Services for Mr. Ernest J. Lindstedt Jr. will be at 7 p.m Thursday, June 21, in the New Apostolic Church of South Bend, 5602 South Ironwood Road, with Bishop Marvin Tessmer of Detroit, Mich., officiating. Contributions in memory of Mr Lindstedt may be made to the New \postolic Church Youth Group, c/o 522 Topinabee Road, Niles. Arrangements were made by the Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.
