Lucille D. (Mellquist) Geisler

SOUTH BEND — Lucille D. Geisler, 77, of Roosevelt Road, South Bend, Ind., died at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19, in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Geisler was born on Nov. 11, 1919, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation Division. On April 23, 1949, as Lucille Mellquist, she married Neil E. Geisler, who preceded her in death on March 10, 1961. Mrs. Geisler was also preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Mellquist and Wilber Mellquist. 

She is survived by two daughters, Jeanne (Craig) Williams and Patricia (Howard) Hoffman, both of South Bend; a son, John Geisler of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and by three grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 1827 E. Ireland Road, South Bend. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Real Services, P. 0.
