Wilbur Orville Winenger

Wilbur O. Winenger, 69, of 20833 Roycroft Drive, died at 6:05 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Winenger retired in 1974 from Bendix Corp. after 38 years. He was born April 12, 1918, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On June 28, 1940, in South Bend, he married the former Mary C. Lesther, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Flatt of South Bend; two sons, Ray E. of San Diego and Gary W. of Granger; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Engle and June Amm, both of South Bend; and a brother, Harold "Bud" of South Bend.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, where friends may call until 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Mr. Winenger was a member of Community Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
